Helping at School

Sandcross Primary School highly values parents and others who volunteer to help out with school activities. Many school activities would be at risk if it weren't for your help and our pupils benefit greatly from it. We have parents who come in to hear reading, help with times tables, talk about areas of expertise, support art and craft activities, help with school trips and lots more!

We always welcome Parents, Carers, Grandparents etc. to come in and help out in school.  Sometimes, help is required on school trips as well.

In order to be compliant to help out, we ask that all volunteers complete a DBS check - details can be obtained from the school office.  All volunteers are also asked to complete a short Safeguarding Training session and if you are offering to help with Reading, a further training session is offered.  Please be aware that DBS checks can take several weeks to come back.

Please find below our Safeguarding Statement and Information and Code of Conduct for Volunteers.

If you would like to discuss opportunities for helping at school in the future please contact us – office@sandcross.surrey.sch.uk  01737 245467.
